Part of the proliferating micro-gold series that flooded the collector market in the 2010s and 2020s, this Cook Islands issue rides on the 200th anniversary of Napoleon's death on Saint Helena in May 1821. Cook Islands has functioned for decades as a licensing jurisdiction for foreign minting operations — principally Austrian and German houses — producing legal tender issues that will never circulate and exist solely as packaged collectibles.
At 0.5 grams, the gold content is negligible by any bullion standard.
