| Obverse description | Right-facing diademed and draped bust of Queen Elizabeth II, after the fourth definitive effigy modelled by Ian Rank-Broadley, prominently struck in high relief at center. The legend ELIZABETH II arcs along the left field and SOLOMON ISLANDS along the upper right, with the denomination 5 DOLLARS inscribed vertically at the right.
