| Reverse description | The convex reverse features a large, detailed color-printed depiction of the Mayflower under full sail on stormy seas, flying the English ensign, occupying the left portion of the field. The right lower portion presents an engraved scene of Pilgrim passengers, rendered in high relief against a mirror-polished background. A large compass rose dominates the upper field with cardinal direction markers N, W, E, and S at the periphery, and the inscription THE NEW WORLD curves along the upper right. The concave central medallion bears the script inscription The Mayflower in cursive lettering, encircled by the legend 400th ANNIVERSARY above and the dates 1620-2020 below. The milled rope-pattern edge border frames the entire design. |
