Reverse description The reverse, designed by artist Jori van der Linde, presents a richly detailed zodiac-themed composition dedicated to the sign of Libra (September 23 – October 22). An outer ring of engraved Roman numerals I through XII evokes the face of a classic clock dial, framing an inner ring set with 20 Swarovski® crystals. At the centre, a vibrant, colorized image combines the constellation and symbolic glyph of Libra in an artistic, celestial design. The overall composition merges horological and astrological iconography with fine craftsmanship and applied color.

Additional information

Part of the Royal Canadian Mint's bullion and collector series tied to Western astrological signs, this issue belongs to a run that the RCM has aggressively expanded since the 2010s as the secondary market for themed silver fractionals grew. The Libra piece targets the September–October birth window. Not a circulation issue by any measure — the $5 face value is nominal, set well below melt at time of issue.
