Reverse description The reverse presents a full-color reproduction of Claude Monet's celebrated 1876 painting 'La Japonaise', depicting a woman dressed in a vivid red embroidered kimono surrounded by decorative Japanese fans, rendered as a rectangular colorized panel at the center of the field. Flanking the central image are engraved stylized Japanese cloud motifs in the mirror-polished silver field. The legend 'Claude Monet' appears at the upper rim above the panel, while at the lower rim a cartouche inscribed 'Japonisme Art' is flanked by Monet's birth and death years '1840' and '1926'. The fineness mark '.999' appears to the lower right of the central panel.
