Reverse description The reverse, designed by Georges Huel, presents a commemorative composition celebrating the yachting events of the XXI Olympiad, held at Kingston, Ontario, in connection with the 1976 Montreal Olympic Games. Two large sailing vessels with full billowing sails dominate the foreground, while Kingston's historic City Hall appears in fine detail at centre and a stylised pyramid structure is visible to the right. The official Montreal 1976 Olympic rings emblem is positioned at upper left, flanked by the bilingual inscriptions OLYMPIADE XXI and OLYMPIAD, with MONTRÉAL 1976 across the upper field. The denomination 5 DOLLARS is inscribed along the lower margin, and the city name KINGSTON appears incused within the lower portion of the scene.
