| Obverse description | The obverse features a deeply struck antique-finished field adorned with an elaborate high-relief Chinese dragon rendered in traditional East Asian decorative style, its sinuous body coiling amid stylized clouds and floral scrollwork that fills the entire field. Within the lower portion of the design, the date 2019 appears in the field among the decorative elements. To the right, a raised circular medallion framed by a Greek-key meander border contains the right-facing crowned effigy of Queen Elizabeth II after Ian Rank-Broadley, with the engraver's initials IRB below the truncation. The legend ELIZABETH II arcs above the portrait and FIVE DOLLARS below, with the fineness mark Ag 999 inscribed vertically at the right of the medallion. |

| Reverse description | The reverse presents an exceptionally detailed high-relief depiction of Guan Yu, the deified Chinese general and god of war, shown astride a rearing horse in three-quarter view amid a dramatic composition of swirling dragons and stylized waves. Guan Yu is portrayed in full traditional warrior's armour, his long beard flowing, wielding his iconic glaive — the Green Dragon Crescent Blade — whose blade and shaft are highlighted in gold gilding, providing vivid chromatic contrast against the antique silver finish. A fierce dragon coils prominently to the right of the composition, confronting the warrior. In the upper right field, the name GUAN YU appears in Latin script alongside the Chinese characters 關羽 set within a rectangular cartouche. The entire design is executed in the style of classical Chinese pictorial relief art with exceptional sculptural depth. |
