| Reverse description | Central to the reverse is an actual embedded fragment of the Fukang pallasite meteorite, one of the most visually spectacular meteorites ever discovered, set within a dramatically rendered landscape depicting the Earth's surface cracked and fractured upon impact. The surrounding field features deep relief texturing suggestive of scorched and ruptured terrain radiating outward from the point of meteorite strike. The inscription METEORITE FUKANG appears in the field. The coin is struck in ultra high relief with an antiqued copper-plated finish, enhancing the dramatic three-dimensional effect of the design. |
