Reverse description A large central depiction of HMS Sirius, the flagship of the First Fleet, shown under full sail on a choppy sea, dominates the reverse field. Surrounding this central image are ten smaller circular vignettes, each portraying one of the remaining First Fleet vessels individually identified by name on a ribbon banner: Lady Penrhyn, Alexander, Charlotte, Borrowdale, Fishburn, Friendship, Golden Grove, Scarborough, Prince of Wales, and HMS Supply. A crossed Union Jack flag and the date '1788' appear below the central ship, with the inscription 'THE FIRST FLEET' engraved in the exergue along the lower rim.
