Obverse description Effigy of Queen Elizabeth II facing right, after the fourth definitive portrait by Ian Rank-Broadley, set within an inner oval frame against a lightly iridescent field. Reverse description Full-length colored portrait of Tsar Alexander III of Russia, depicted in military dress uniform adorned with epaulettes, medals, and the blue sash of the Order of Saint Andrew, holding a document and a sabre hilt, set against a colored background evoking a wintry Russian landscape. Above the portrait, the gilt coat of arms of the Russian Empire is displayed beneath a banner bearing the Cyrillic inscription 'ПУТЬ К ВЕЛИКОМУ ОКЕАНУ' (Path to the Great Ocean). The oval field is framed by gilt oak leaf branches with two inlaid blue zirconia crystals set at either side. A gilt cartouche at the base bears the legend 'Alexander III' and the dates '1845–1894'.
