Obverse description The fourth effigy of Queen Elizabeth II, modelled by Ian Rank-Broadley, faces right in a refined right-facing portrait rendered against a deeply mirrored proof field. The Queen is depicted without a crown, her hair arranged in a characteristic coiffure with a subtle tiara. The engraver's initials 'IRB' appear beneath the truncation of the neck. The legend 'ELIZABETH II AUSTRALIA' arcs across the upper field, while the denomination '5 DOLLARS' is inscribed along the lower periphery, all within a fine inner beaded border.
