Reverse description Central design depicts the brig Lady Nelson under full sail, superimposed upon a cartographic outline of Tasmania, commemorating the 200th anniversary of European settlement of the island. Flanking the central composition to the left and right are sprays of Leatherwood blossoms (Eucryphia lucida), a flowering plant endemic to the Tasmanian wilderness. The commemorative legend BICENTENARY OF TASMANIA arcs along the upper periphery, and the entire design is executed in high-relief proof finish.
