Obverse description Right-facing effigy of Queen Elizabeth II wearing the Girls of Great Britain and Ireland tiara, as sculpted by Arnold Machin. The draped bust is rendered in high relief against a plain field, with fine detail in the hair and crown. The circumscribed legend reads QUEEN ELIZABETH THE SECOND, arcing along the upper and lower periphery of the decagonal flan.
