| Obverse description | The obverse displays the coat of arms of the Republic of Palau at center, rendered in high relief within a decorative shield-shaped cartouche bordered by floral ornaments. The shield depicts a seated Neptune figure holding a trident, accompanied by a mermaid, with a treasure chest and marine elements in the field; the motto RAINBOW'S END appears in the lower portion of the shield. A small outrigger canoe is depicted above the shield.
