Reverse description Printed in green on white paper, the reverse is dominated by an elaborate guilloche underprint of radiating fan rosettes and interlaced lathe-work extending across the full width. At centre, the supported Royal Arms vignette shows a lion and unicorn flanking the quartered shield, with the motto 'DIEU ET MON DROIT' on a ribbon below; numerals '5' appear in guilloche cartouches at left and right. The bank title arches across the top and the incorporation legend runs along the lower margin, with the printer's imprint 'PERKINS, BACON & Co. Ld LONDON' in small type at the foot.
