| Obverse description | Right-facing draped bust of King Charles III occupying the central field, rendered in high relief with fine portrait detail. The effigy is attributed to engraver Dominique Thiébaut, whose initials 'DT' appear below the truncation. Surrounding the portrait is an ornate border of interlocking geometric and diamond-shaped patterns inspired by traditional Tokelauan weaving motifs. The curved legend 'CHARLES III' arcs along the upper left, 'TOKELAU' and '2024' along the upper right, and 'FIVE DOLLARS 1 OZ .999 SILVER' along the lower portion of the coin, all in raised Latin characters. |
