The phoenix dominates the field, surrounded by a profusion of other birds including doves, cranes, a macaw, a hummingbird, and smaller songbirds, all set against a dark antiqued background enlivened with blossoming cherry branches, peonies, lotus flowers, roses, and other florals rendered in full selective colour.
