| Reverse description | A highly detailed, stylized ladybug rendered in gold-plated relief occupies the center of the reverse, its elytra lacquered in vivid red enamel and adorned with six black crystal inserts representing spots, set symmetrically across the wing covers. Ornate baroque scrollwork and foliate motifs in gold divide the elytra along the central suture and decorate the pronotum. The insect's six legs and antennae radiate outward in gold-plated relief against a finely engraved background of overlapping feather- or scale-like petals that fill the entire field. The rim is finished with a polished gold-plated border, contrasting with the antiqued silver ground. No legends or inscriptions appear on this face. |
