| Reverse description | Richly colored and deeply struck high-relief composition depicting the three Chinese deities of fortune, prosperity, and longevity — Fu, Lu, and Shou — rendered in the traditional iconic style. At center, the long-bearded, bald Shou (god of longevity) cradles two joyful children and holds a large pink peach symbolizing immortality; to his upper left stands Fu (god of fortune) dressed in imperial red robes and carrying a tray laden with gold ingots and peaches, while to the right Lu (god of prosperity) is shown in official green and yellow court attire holding a scroll. The composition is flanked by a white deer to the lower left and a white crane to the lower right, both traditional emblems of longevity, with decorative cloud scrolls and peony blossoms filling the background. The Perth Mint's P mintmark appears in the upper right field. |
