Obverse description The obverse features the Public Seal of Niue rendered in high relief at center, surmounted by a crown and enclosed within an ornate cartouche bearing the legend 'PUBLIC SEAL OF NIUE' along its border. Flanking the seal below are two crossed palm fronds, with the motto 'ATUA NIUE TUKULAGI' inscribed on a ribbon beneath. The denomination 'FIVE DOLLARS' appears to the left and the issuer 'NIUE' with date '2023' to the right of the central device, while the fineness mark 'Ag 999.9' and the Mint of Poland mintmark 'mw' are inscribed in the lower field. The entire composition is set against a deeply engraved field of tropical foliage — including monstera leaves, palm fronds, and ferns — rendered in brilliant high relief with a ruthenium-plated finish.
