Reverse description The reverse presents a dramatic high-relief composition depicting a monstrous demonic figure — rendered in antiqued silver — clutching a golden, selectively gold-plated mask bearing serene youthful facial features, evoking the theme of hidden identity. The demon, shown with a grotesque open mouth, prominent fangs, and coiling serpents at its collar, is attended by a large eagle whose detailed feathering dominates the upper field; a pentacle medallion hangs at the eagle's chest. Scattered skulls accumulate at the lower centre, while undulating gold-plated flame motifs sweep across the right field, creating a vivid polychrome contrast against the antiqued silver ground. Floral sprays in high relief occupy the left field, softening the composition. The reverse carries no inscriptions, the visual narrative serving as the sole design element.
