The Ares release is part of Perth Mint's ongoing Gods of Olympus bullion series, which targets the collector-investor crossover market that has driven most Australian silver program growth since the early 2010s. At five troy ounces of .9999 fine silver, the specification follows a now-familiar Perth format for mid-tier bullion pieces — substantial enough to justify a premium, modest enough to move volume.
Charles III's effigy appears here in one of the earliest Australian coinage years to carry it, following the transition from Elizabeth II after her death in September 2022.
