Reverse description The central gold-plated field faithfully reproduces the reverse of the 1849 United States Liberty Head Double Eagle, depicting a heraldic eagle with wings displayed, holding an olive branch in its right talon and a bundle of arrows in its left, with a shield on its breast and the motto E PLURIBUS UNUM on a ribbon above. A radiant glory of sun rays and a arc of thirteen stars appear above the eagle's head, with the legend UNITED STATES OF AMERICA arcing around the upper field and the denomination TWENTY D. inscribed below, all within an inner beaded border. The surrounding matte silver border carries the series inscription GREATEST UNITED STATES COINS along the upper arc, with a small American flag motif positioned at the base as a dividing element.
