| Reverse description | The reverse depicts all twelve animals of the Chinese lunar zodiac rendered as charming, colourful cartoon infant figures arranged in a circle around the central motif: a raised Bagua (Eight Trigrams) symbol enclosing a yin-yang emblem. The twelve animals — rat, ox, tiger, rabbit, dragon, snake, horse, goat, monkey, rooster, dog, and pig — are each applied in full colour and positioned against an engraved background of stylised clouds and traditional architectural elements. Swirling cloud scrollwork fills the intermediate field, lending an ornate, festive character to the design. No legends appear on the reverse. |
