Additional information

Liberia's commemorative dollar series of the late 1990s and early 2000s was a frankly commercial operation — dozens of foreign leaders, American presidents among them, issued under Liberian authority primarily for the international collector market rather than any domestic monetary purpose. Coolidge is an odd inclusion: he is rarely commemorated anywhere, his presidency remembered more for what he didn't do than what he did.

The X#50 reference places this in Krause's Unusual World Coins, a telling classification.
