| Obverse description | The obverse displays the arms of the Republic of Palau rendered in high relief at center: a heraldic shield depicting a seated Neptune figure holding a trident flanked by a mermaid, with a crescent moon and eight-pointed star above, all within a decorative cartouche adorned with floral elements. A traditional outrigger canoe appears above the shield. Six five-pointed stars are distributed around the field. The legend REPUBLIC OF PALAU arcs along the upper periphery, the inscription RAINBOW'S END appears within the lower portion of the shield, and the denomination 5$ is inscribed at the base of the coin. |
