| Obverse description | The obverse displays the coat of arms of the Republic of Palau at centre, depicting Neptune seated with a trident accompanied by a mermaid, enclosed within a circular border. The legend REPUBLIC OF PALAU arcs along the upper periphery, flanked by stars, with a traditional outrigger canoe at the apex. The mintmark .999 appears at the top of the skull-shaped flan outside the central device, the denomination 5$ is inscribed below the arms, and the series name RAINBOW'S END appears within the lower portion of the coat of arms. The date 2019 is struck at the base of the flan in the exergual area. The entire design is rendered in antique finish on a skull-shaped silver flan. |

| Additional information |
Palau's legal tender collector coin program has operated since 1992 under a licensing arrangement that outsources design and marketing almost entirely to European mints and distributors — the island nation itself has no mint facility. This piece is part of that commercial pipeline, issued under Palauan authority in name while conceived, produced, and sold wholesale to the collector market abroad. KM#829 places it within a sprawling catalog of themed issues that Palau authorizes by the dozen annually.
No historically significant event, monetary policy decision, or minting anomaly attaches to this specific issue.
