The denomination "FIVE DOLLARS" is printed in large letters along the lower portion, with the place of issue "BRIDGETOWN BARBADOS" at lower left and the date "1ST SEPTEMBER 1926" at lower right, accompanied by two manuscript signatures. |

The reverse is printed entirely in green, with the supported royal arms centrally placed within an elaborate guilloche surround. The bank's name "BARCLAYS BANK (DOMINION, COLONIAL AND OVERSEAS)" arches across the top in bold lettering, with "FORMERLY THE COLONIAL BANK" immediately below, and circular guilloche rosettes bearing the numeral "5" flank the central vignette on each side. A lower inscription records the bank's incorporation history, and the printer's imprint "BRADBURY WILKINSON & CO LTD ENGRAVERS, NEW MALDEN, SURREY, ENGLAND" appears at the foot. |
