Obverse description
Circular motifs with the number 5 at all four corners. Center left portrait of General Marion. Large center vignette breakfast scene of sweet potatoes roasting in the fire, and shows General Marion, known as the “Swamp Fox,” inviting a British soldier to share breakfast. Right side is another portrait of General Marion, A large bright red pocket FIVE in center bottom.
