Reverse description Printed entirely in green, the reverse is dominated by a large central guilloche rosette of concentric lathe-work rings enclosing the circular seal of the Bank of Nova Scotia, which bears a sailing vessel and fish motif above the legend "INC'D A.D. 1832". Large numerals "5" appear at left and right within further guilloche surrounds, and four ornamental quatrefoil cornerpieces carry additional "5" counters. The bank's name is set in bold serif lettering across the top within a decorative ribbon, while a repeated "5 FIVE" micro-text border runs along the bottom, and the printer's imprint "CANADIAN BANK NOTE COMPANY, LIMITED" appears at the very foot.
