| Obverse description | Printed in black on white cotton paper, the obverse carries a portrait vignette of Queen Victoria at lower left, engraved in fine intaglio with crown and formal dress, while a large central allegorical scene presents Britannia seated beside a reclining lion with a crowned shield and a female figure set against a landscape background.
