Obverse description Draped bust of Liberty facing right, her flowing hair loosely arranged and surmounted by a Liberty cap, set within a border of fifteen five-pointed stars arranged around the periphery. The legend LIBERTY arcs along the upper rim, while the date 1795 appears in the lower exergual area. The effigy is rendered in the early Federal neoclassical style characteristic of the first Philadelphia Mint issues.
