The reverse features the The Queen`s Personal Flag for New Zealand, a banner of the Arms of New Zealand with the crowned Royal initial set within a chaplet of roses. Above and below the flag is a Maori rafter pattern (mangopare) based on the hammerhead shark and symbolic of power and prestige.
