Additional information

Tajikistan's diram denominations were reintroduced in 2001 after the somoni replaced the Soviet-era ruble, with the diram set at 1/100 of the new unit. The 2019 issue of this denomination is a late restrike in a long-running series that has seen minimal design evolution since the initial post-independence coinage — produced primarily to replenish circulating stock rather than mark any particular occasion.
