| Obverse description | Left-facing draped bust of Sheikh Isa bin Salman Al Khalifa, Amir of Bahrain, wearing traditional Gulf Arab dress consisting of a ghutra (headdress) secured by an agal (double-corded headband), rendered in high sculptural relief against a deeply mirrored proof field. The portrait, engraved by Michael Rizzello, displays fine detail in the folds of the bisht (cloak) and the facial features, occupying the central and left portions of the flan with no surrounding legend on the obverse. |
