| Obverse description | Central copper-nickel disc bearing the Tunisian coat of arms — a shield quartered with national symbols including scales of justice and a lion, surmounted by a crescent and star — set within a brass outer ring. Olive branches flank the shield on either side within the ring. The Arabic legend الجمهورية التونسية (Republic of Tunisia) arcs along the upper portion of the ring, while the dual date 2002-1423, representing the Gregorian and Hijri years respectively, appears along the lower portion. |
