Reverse description The reverse of this Swedish copper plate money presents a broad, largely plain cast copper surface with no applied stamps or inscriptions, retaining the unworked texture resulting from the casting process. The surface shows characteristic tool marks, flow lines, and natural oxidation patina accumulated over centuries, typical of circulated plåtmynt. The edges are irregular and slightly chamfered at the corners, consistent with the hand-finishing methods employed at the Avesta Mint during the reign of Charles XI. No legends, devices, or mint marks appear on this face, as all authenticating stamps were applied exclusively to the obverse.
