The National Liberation Front's parallel currency program was a genuine administrative undertaking, not propaganda theater. The NLF maintained a clandestine economic structure in contested territories throughout the war, and these notes were prepared as functional instruments for that system. The 5 Đồng bearing the P#R6 designation was never placed into circulation — the series was abandoned before distribution, leaving surviving examples entirely unissued.

Because none reached circulation, condition is almost uniformly high, which tells you nothing about rarity. Print runs are unconfirmed, and the notes' provenance typically traces back to post-1975 archival releases rather than wartime recovery.
