| Reverse description | The central field displays the double-headed Imperial Austrian eagle with spread wings, bearing on its breast a composite shield of the Austro-Hungarian arms and surmounted by the Imperial crown. The eagle is set within a lightly beaded inner circle, flanked by an elaborate decorative border of intertwining laurel and oak branches issuing from four medallions at the cardinal points, the uppermost bearing the Imperial crown. The Latin denomination legend QUINQUE CORONAE arcs across the upper portion of the inner circle, while the numeral 5 and the abbreviation COR. flank the date 1909 at the base of the design. |
