| Obverse description | Grey intaglio on a multicolour guilloche underprint; the central vignette presents a cattle herd in an open pastoral landscape enclosed within an ornate frame, with BANCO NACIONAL DE NICARAGUA / DEPARTAMENTO DE EMISIÓN arching across the upper register and MANAGUA centred below.
