| Obverse description | The obverse features the national coat of arms of El Salvador at center, depicting five volcanic peaks rising from the sea within an equilateral triangle, surmounted by a radiant Phrygian cap and flanked by five national flags on either side. The triangle is supported by a scroll bearing the motto 'DIOS UNION LIBERTAD' and framed by two laurel branches tied at the base with a ribbon.
