The Foreign Trade Bank of the DPRK produced several denominations specifically for foreign visitors attending the Arirang Mass Games, a state-choreographed performance event that drew a limited stream of tourists in the early 2000s. These notes were not convertible through ordinary channels and circulated only within a tightly controlled hard-currency economy parallel to the domestic won system.
P#24A.3 is distinguished from closely related varieties by serial number prefix or color nuances — differences meaningful to specialists but easy to overlook without direct comparison against P#24A.1 and P#24A.2.
