Obverse description Central field depicts a finely detailed relief of a woolly mammoth (Mammuthus primigenius) facing left in a naturalistic landscape setting, with coniferous trees and rocky terrain rendered in the background. The mammoth is portrayed with characteristic long curved tusks and a dense shaggy coat, executed in a gilt finish contrasting against the polished black field. The engraver's initials МЗ appear in the lower left of the central design. The Cyrillic legend ШЕРСТИСТЫЙ МАМОНТ arcs along the upper portion of the outer ring, while the Latin binomial • Mammuthus primigenius • curves along the lower portion of the ring, both in raised relief on a matte ground.

Additional information

MasterVision is not a sovereign mint or recognized monetary authority — the "chervonets" denomination has no current legal tender status in any jurisdiction, and issues bearing that name today are produced as novelty or fantasy pieces rather than circulating or official commemorative coinage. A genuine chervonets was a Soviet gold coin worth ten rubles, last issued in substantive quantities during the NEP period of the 1920s. Whatever this piece represents, it carries no continuity with that history beyond borrowed nomenclature.
