| Obverse description | Central nickel-brass field depicts a greater noctule bat (Nyctalus lasiopterus) in flight with wings fully extended, rendered in high relief against a dark background with a crescent moon and stars. A stylised bare tree branch occupies the right portion of the field. The Cyrillic legend ГИГАНТСКАЯ ВЕЧЕРНИЦА arcs along the upper rim of the brass ring, while the Latin scientific name Nyctalus lasiopterus curves along the lower rim. The engraver's initials МВ (MasterVision) appear in a small cartouche in the lower right of the central field. |
