Reverse description The denomination 5c is prominently displayed in large numerals at center within a raised beaded inner circle. Four stylized scallop shells in high relief occupy each corner of the square flan, separated by rows of raised beads that form a decorative outer border. The four-digit date is divided into two parts — the first two digits to the left and the last two to the right — each pair flanking the central denomination within ornamental shell cartouches, a hallmark design feature of this Dutch issue.
