(Translation: Cyprus Cyprus Cyprus 2004 1960)
Reverse description The central motif is a stylized bull's head in profile, derived from a fourteenth-century B.C. silver bowl with a wishbone handle held in the collection of the Cyprus Museum in Nicosia. The design faithfully reproduces this ancient artifact, lending the coin a strong archaeological character. The numeral 5, denoting the face value in cents, is positioned prominently in the lower field beneath the bull's head.
