| Obverse description | Gold-plated effigy of King George V facing left, depicted in crowned and draped royal robes with ornate floral embroidery at the collar, rendered in high relief. The engraver's initials 'B.M.' appear in the lower right field. The circumferential Latin legend reads GEORGIVS V DEI GRA: REX ET IND: IMP, divided across the upper and right portions of the coin.
