| Obverse description | Crowned and draped bust of King George V facing left, wearing the Imperial State Crown and robes of state with ornate collar detail. The effigy, modelled by Sir Bertram Mackennal, is rendered in high relief with fine detail to the crown, beard, and regalia. The circular legend reads GEORGE V KING AND EMPEROR OF INDIA, distributed around the periphery of the square flan. The field is plain, with the design filling the square format to its rounded corners. |
