Obverse description The central round hole is surmounted by a Tudor crown in high relief, flanked on either side by stylised scrolling elephant tusks curving around the perforation. The denomination FIVE CENTS is inscribed in two lines in the lower field beneath the hole. A circular legend reading GEORGIUS V REX ET IND:IMP: runs around the periphery of the obverse, with a beaded border enclosing the entire design.
