Obverse description Right-facing crowned effigy of Queen Elizabeth II, sculpted by Cecil Thomas, occupying the central field. The Queen wears the George IV State Diadem, rendered in fine relief with floral and foliate detailing. Her hair is styled in a neat chignon at the nape of the neck.
